Inviting a design team into your new home construction project is a deeply personal decision. At Maple & White, our process is intentionally thoughtful, collaborative, and highly organized. We aim to ensure clients always know what to expect, and feel supported from the very first conversation to the final install.

Consultation: Our First Date
Our process begins by taking the time to truly understand each client and their unique design needs. During an initial consultation - often paired with a site visit - we ask lots of questions, and listen closely. What does joyful living mean to you? What’s currently working, and what isn’t? How would you love your space to function and flow? This conversation sets the foundation for everything that follows.
Design Estimate & Agreement
Based on these inputs, we create a clear project scope and design estimate. We discuss these together during a vdieo call, ensuring alignment before moving forward. Once the agreement is signed and the retainer is received, we schedule our deeper design exploration meetings.
Exploration & Vision
This stage is where ideas begin to take shape. We review any inspiration you’ve collected, share imagery curated specifically for you, and talk through style, function, and priorities. Our goal is to fully understand your vision before a single plan is drawn.
A thorough review of inspiration, preferences, and inputs helps us thoughtfully consider how the design should take shape.
Schematic Design
With a clear vision established, we move into the technical side of design work. Measurements are taken, layouts refined, and selections begin. Floor plans, elevations, and renderings help ensure everyone - from designers to builders - is aligned and working from the same playbook.

Design Presentation
The big reveal! We present our proposed design elements in a tangible, cohesive way with fabrics, finishes, paint colors, tile, and wallpaper you can see and touch. This is your opportunity to experience the comprehensive design and provide critical feedback.

Procurement
Once approvals are finalized, our team handles the entire ordering process: tracking, receiving, inspecting, and safely storing items in our warehouse until install day. We manage the logistics so you don’t have to!
Project Management
Our design team stays closely involved throughout the entire construction process. We conduct frequent site visits and walkthroughs, reviewing details like lighting placement, tile layouts, and outlet locations to maintain the integrity of the design vision throughout the build.
Delivery & Installation
Installation is the exciting moment when all the planning and collaboration comes together. Install days are hands-on from start to finish, with furniture thoughtfully placed according to the design plan. Artwork and accessories are layered in last - custom-selected for scale, placement, and cohesion - bringing the space to life. At the end, we step back together to admire the transformation beautiful, intentional design can bring to your space and your life.
